2010 Guam Liberation Carnival Opens

June 25th, 2010 | Posted by Guam in Entertainment, Events, Nightlife | No Comments

It’s that time of year again for the island of Guam to celebrate it’s liberation!  This past week the 2010 Guam Liberation Carnival opened up at Paseo in the village of Hagatna.  The carnival grounds are located in the largest of all the parking lots around the Paseo Stadium.  This year the carnival celebrates the 66th year of Guam’s liberation with the theme for this year being “Honoring Our Heroes”.

The Guam Liberation Carnival is open to all island residents and visitors to Guam;  everyone is invited to come down to Paseo and enjoy fun-filled evenings of food, games, entertainment, music and carnival rides.  Something special and unique people can expect with this year’s carnival is a fireworks show on the 4th of July;  the last time the Guam Liberation Carnival had a fireworks show on the 4th of July was 10 years ago, so this is a great past traditional event which has returned to the carnival this year.

The Guam Liberation Day Carnival will be open every day until August 1st during the evening hours.  It closes at 2am every night.  The carnival is a great annual family-oriented event so if you have time come on down and enjoy the festivities with the rest of the island of Guam!
